Artist Clive McBain and his wife Sidonie live in the beautiful downland village of Graffham, near Petworth, West Sussex.

Clive's representational paintings is minute observation allied with an instinctive understanding of colour and texture- qualities which have made him one of Sussex's most admired and most distinctive painters,Clive's love of realism and subject matter was originally influenced by the work of artist Raymond Harris Ching who Clive and Sidonie met whilst Raymond was working on the Reader's Digest Book of British Birds.

Clive is currently painting contemporary large format works on canvas. These paintings are unlike anything Clive has painted before. This new style of work has been received enthusiastically.
